There are a variety of ways to clean brushes without solvents during a painting session. Gamblin has listened and tested them all. Based on that work, they are proud to offer Gamblin Safflower Oil, which works great as a brush cleaner during a painting session and may also be used as a painting medium. (After a painting session, artists can clean brushes further with Gamsol, odourless white spirit or soap and water.)

Safflower oil is lighter in colour than linseed oil, non-yellowing, and slow-drying. It is an excellent medium for passages of white and other light colours, making them sparkle and pop.
